Ops Live!

Live streaming of Operating Sessions on The Illawarra Line.

The screen above shows what the remote operators see - it is mixed through OBS, and contains webcam sources, the CATS window on the dispatchers computer, and a small webapp for Zello audio.

Operators are able to identify the physical location of their train on the layout by the train describers (yellow/grey text on the blocks) , as well as more specific locations using the cameras over each physical location.

Remote operators are responsible for electric train passenger services during a session, there are up to 3 remote operators running to an 18hr time table, using a 6:1 fast clock.

The stream is only active during operating sessions, which occur on the second Saturday of the month at 1930 AEST.

Make sure your speakers are turned up so you can hear the radio chatter!
